Monday evening was beautifully quiet along the south of Gower’s coastal path. Sam, Lucy and I walked from Pwll Du to Brandy Cove. It was a stunning evening and I was surprised at how much wildlife we encountered. The wild primroses were vast, the blossoms were in full bloom and we even saw a massive beetle. I am still working my way through the pictures but hope to post them all below (including the beetle and an unnamed wild flower that I have never seen on the Gower coast before).
I had intended to seek Bantam Bay on the way back from Brandy Cove but the clouds were getting pretty thick and heavy, and unfortunately the light was fading faster than I preferred.
I am also quite pleased with the new paths that have been created. They really have done a great job. A few places were slightly hair raising and I made sure both Sam and Lucy were careful whilst walking round. I don’t think I would recommend parts of this stretch to young toddler aged children.
Here are a some images.
